Flour and Water Pasta Recipe
Ingredients (Serves 1)
- 100g (3.5 oz) all-purpose flour
- 50ml (1.7 fl oz) water
Note: This recipe serves one person. Simply multiply the amounts based on the number of servings needed.
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
- Combine the flour and water in a bowl until they form a dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour; if too dry, add more water.
- Knead the Dough:
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Divide it into sections and choose your desired pasta shape.
- Shape the Pasta:
- For Gnocchetti: Roll the dough into thin sausage shapes about 1-2 cm thick. Cut into 1-2 cm pieces and roll along a wooden gnocchi board or the back of a fork.
- For Tagliolini or Fettuccine: Roll the dough through a pasta machine as you would with egg pasta, then pass it through the machine again to make tagliolini or fettuccine.
- For Strozzapreti: Roll small pieces on the heel of your hand to form strozzapreti.
- Cook the Pasta:
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Drain and serve with your preferred sauce.
